About Shane
Shane Phillips, from the United States, has spent nearly two decades in disciplined practice, refining his skills through a distinctive journey marked by deep familial bonds and unwavering commitment. Guided by mentors who accelerated his growth, Shane was fortunate to receive classical mentoring under the Iyengar family of senior teachers in Los Angeles, California, and continues his studies with them and other senior international teachers.
Now based in Paris, France, since 2022, Shane is grateful to share his dedication to Iyengar Yoga with a growing global community. Teaching in English, as is customary in India, he fosters a welcoming environment that draws regular students from different studios. With precise, mindful attention, Shane guides his students through their practice, encouraging them to expand their understanding of yoga.
Driven by a commitment to excellence, Shane continually brings fresh insights that help students build confidence, deepen self-awareness, and connect with their bodies and minds.
